الملخص
تهدف الدراسة إلى التعرف على واقع الصمت الزواجي لدى عينة من الأزواج، والتعرف إلى دلالة الفروق في استجابات الأزواج باختلاف كل من الجنس، والمؤهل العلمي في محافظة العاصمة عمان. تكونت عينة الدراسة من (472) زوجا وزوجة، بحيث تم اختيارهم بطريقة عشوائية بسيطة. تم تطبيق مقياس الصمت الزواجي من إعداد الباحثين واستخراج الخصائص السيكومترية. أظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن مستوى الصمت الزواجي بين الأزواج في المحافظة عمان جاء منخفضا، مع جود فروق ظاهرية بين متوسطات استجابات أفراد الدراسة وفقًا لمتغيرات (الجنس، والمؤهل العلمي للزوج والمؤهل العلمي للزوجة). وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائيًا عند مستوى (α≤0.05) بين مُتوسطات تقديرات أفراد الدِّراسة على الدرجة الكلية للأداة تُعزى للمؤهل العلمي للزوج ولصالح أفراد المؤهل العلمي (ثانوي) بمُتوسط حسابيّ أعلى. وأيضاً عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائيًا عند مستوى(α≤0.05) بين مُتوسطات تقديرات أفراد الدِّراسة على الدرجة الكلية للأداة تُعزى للمؤهل العلمي للزوجة.

Abstract
The study aims to identify the reality of marital silence among a sample of couples, and to identify the significance of the differences in couples’ responses depending on gender and educational qualifications in the Amman governorate. The sample consisted of (472) male and female couples who were selected in a simple random manner. The marital silence scale prepared by researchers was applied and psychometric properties were extracted. The results of the study showed that the reality of the spread of the phenomenon of marital silence among couples in the Amman Governorate was low, with apparent differences between the averages of the responses of the study members regarding the reality of the spread of the phenomenon of marital silence among couples in the Amman Governorate according to the variables (gender, the educational qualification of the husband, and the educational qualification of the wife). There are statistically significant differences at the level (α≤0.05) between the average estimates of the study individuals on the total score of the tool due to the educational qualification of the spouse and in favor of the individuals with the educational qualification (secondary) with a higher arithmetic average. Also, there are no statistically significant differences at the level (α≤0.05) between the averages of the study members’ estimates on the total score of the tool attributable to the wife’s academic qualification.
