الملخص:
تتناول الدراسة باب المديح من ديوان الحماسة لأبي تمام الطائي بالتحليل والبحث الدقيقين، وتهدف إلى تعريف المتلقي بفن المديح على مستوى المفهوم والأنواع والمعاني، وما يتصل بها من المعايير المهمة التي التزمها أبو تمام في اختياراته لأشعار هذا الباب.
ومن المفترض أن تجيب الدراسة عن الأسئلة الأتية: ما مفهوم فن المديح؟ هل نوّع أبو تمام في اختياراته الشعرية لباب المديح؟، وما أشهر معاني المديح التي أوردها في حماسته؟.
تتكون الدراسة من ثلاثة مباحث:
الأول: خُصص للتعريف بالشاعر أبي تمام وباب المديح من ديوان الحماسة.
الثاني: خُصص للتعريف بفن المديح، وبيان أقسامه على مستويين: الأول مستوى من يتجه إليه كالمديح الذاتي والفردي والجماعي والقبلي. الثاني: مستوى صفات الممدوح كالمدح بالصفات النفسية الاختيارية كالشجاعة والكرم، والمدح بالصفات الجسدية، والمدح بهما معا.
الثالث: بيان مفهوم معاني المديح، وذكر ضروبها التي راعاها أبو تمام في اختياراته دون أن يعينها.

Abstract
This study aims to examine, through detailed analysis and research, the laudatory (panegyric) sections included in Abū Tammām’s Dīwān al-Ḥamāsa. It seeks to introduce the art of praise (madīḥ) at the conceptual, typological, and semantic levels, and to explain the key criteria that guided Abū Tammām’s preference for this poetic genre.
The study addresses the following research questions: What does the art of praise signify as a literary concept? Did Abū Tammām include poems of praise belonging to different subgenres? What are the most significant semantic elements found in his Ḥamāsa?
The study is structured into three main sections.
- An introduction to Abū Tammām and to the laudatory section included in Dīwān al-Ḥamāsa.
- An examination of the art of praise and its explanation on two principal levels: first, self-praise or the praise of a specific group or tribe, namely individual or collective praise; second, praise based on the qualities of the praised subject, such as psychological state, courage, generosity, and other moral attributes, as well as praise grounded in physical attributes, or a combination of both.
An analysis of the meanings encompassed by the art of panegyric and an exploration of other poetic genres that Abū Tammām selectively incorporated without extensive elaboration.
