Abstract
Kidney failure is the inability of the kidneys to adequately remove the body’s metabolic waste from the blood. It is a condition where the kidneys can no longer perform their functions properly. There are many causes of kidney failure, often leading to a rapid loss of kidney function. The World Health Organization and various research centers have warned of a noticeable increase in kidney failure cases in recent years. The total number of patients suffering from chronic kidney failure in the Middle East has reached 100,000, with a prevalence rate of 430 cases per million.
This study focused on identifying the causes that lead to the progression of kidney disease to its final stage, which requires dialysis, during the period from1, January, 2022, to1, January, 2025. The study was conducted in dialysis centers across the Jabel- ALakder. It concluded that diabetes, hypertension, coronary artery disease, repeated use of analgesics, and urinary tract infections are directly associated with the development of kidney failure.

الملخص
الفشل الكلوي هو عدم قدرة الكلى على إزالة الفضلات الأيضية من الدم بشكل كافٍ. وهي حالة تعجز فيها الكلى عن أداء وظائفها بشكل صحيح. هناك أسباب عديدة للفشل الكلوي، وغالبًا ما تؤدي إلى فقدان سريع لوظائف الكلى. وقد حذرت منظمة الصحة العالمية ومراكز أبحاث مختلفة من زيادة ملحوظة في حالات الفشل الكلوي في السنوات الأخيرة. بلغ إجمالي عدد مرضى الفشل الكلوي المزمن في الشرق الأوسط 100,000 مريض، بمعدل انتشار 430 حالة لكل مليون.
ركزت هذه الدراسة على تحديد الأسباب التي تؤدي إلى تطور مرض الكلى إلى مرحلته النهائية، والتي تتطلب غسيل الكلى، خلال الفترة من 1 يناير 2022 إلى 1 يناير 2025. أُجريت الدراسة في مراكز غسيل الكلى في جميع أنحاء الجبل الأخضر. وخلصت إلى أن داء السكري، وارتفاع ضغط الدم، ومرض الشريان التاجي، والاستخدام المتكرر للمسكنات، والتهابات المسالك البولية، ترتبط ارتباطًا مباشرًا بتطور الفشل الكلوي.
