Abstract
The reformist approach in interpretation is considered an extension of the efforts of Muslim scholars in serving the Book of Allah and drawing from its knowledge. It is the interpretation that focuses on the Muslim society and its reform through the Holy Quran, and it is one of the approaches of great significance in this era. This is because it serves as a main starting point and a rich resource for reformers in their communities. It can be said that the reformist approach is suitable to be an independent approach in its own right, with its foundations and characteristics, and it differs from other approaches that may be related to it, especially since it has features that distinguish it from others, including: the social perspective of the Holy Quran, the study of understanding the governing laws in the world and in human societies, and attention to the Quranic miracles. In the past century, prominent figures from the Islamic community emerged, carrying the banner of reform on their shoulders, guided in that by the Holy Quran as a firm methodology for their reformist calls. Sheikh Abdul Hamid Al-Khatib (d. 1381 AH) appears as one of those reformers who authored a commentary on the Holy Quran, in which they embedded their reformist message and spread it among people. His tafsir, ‘Tafsir Al-Khatib Al-Makki,’ is considered one of the contemporary exegeses in which a reader can find clear reformist guidance. In his commentary, may Allah have mercy on him, Sheikh Al-Khatib outlined many reformist aspects, including: highlighting the virtues of Islam, correcting misconceptions among the general Muslim populace, addressing family issues through the verses of the Holy Quran, and applying the verses to the contemporary reality of Muslims. The researcher counted the reformist instances in Al-Khatib’s tafsir, may Allah have mercy on him, and they amounted to more than 100 instances.

الملخص
يعتبر الاتجاه الإصلاحي في التفسير امتداداً لجهود العلماء المسلمين في خدمة كتاب الله والنهل من علومه، وهو: التفسير الذي يعتني بالمجتمع المسلم وإصلاحه من خلال القرآن الكريم، وهو من الاتجاهات ذات الأهمية البالغة في هذا العصر، ذلك أنه يعد منطلقاً رئيساً وزاداً وافراً للمصلحين في مجتمعاتهم، ويمكن أن يقال إن الاتجاه الإصلاحي يصلح أن يكون اتجاهاً مستقلاً بذاته، له أسسه وخصائصه، ويختلف عن الاتجاهات الأخرى التي قد ترتبط به، خاصة أنه له خصائص تميزه عن غيره، منها: النظرة الاجتماعية للقرآن الكريم، والبحث في معرفة السنن الحاكمة في العالم والإنسان في المجتمعات، والاهتمام بالإعجاز القرآني. وقد برز في القرن الماضي أعلام من الأمة الإسلامية، حملوا راية الإصلاح على عاتقهم مستنيرين في ذلك بالقرآن الكريم منهجاً قويماً لهم في دعواتهم الإصلاحية، ويظهر الشيخ عبدالحميد الخطيب (ت: 1381ه) كأحد أولئك المصلحين الذين ألفوا تفسيراً للقرآن الكريم، أودعوا فيه دعوتهم الإصلاحية ونشروها بين الناس، حيث يعد تفسيره “تفسير الخطيب المكي” واحداً من التفاسير المعاصرة التي يمكن أن يجد فيها القارئ منارات إصلاحية واضحة، فقد خط الشيخ الخطيب رحمه الله في تفسيره معالم إصلاحية كثيرة، منها: بيان محاسن الإسلام، وتصحيح المفاهيم الخاطئة لدى عموم المسلمين، وعلاج المشكلات الأسرية من خلال آيات القرآن الكريم، وتنزيل الآيات على واقع المسلمين المعاصر، وقد أحصى الباحث عدد المواضع الإصلاحية في تفسير الخطيب رحمه الله فبلغت أكثر من 100 موضع.
